At Moggies Cat Rescue, we’re more than just a sanctuary – we’re a safe space, a second chance, and sometimes, the only lifeline a cat has. Based in the heart of Aberdare, South Wales, we’re a small, independent rescue run entirely by volunteers who live and breathe feline welfare.
It all started with a love for cats and a deep desire to make a difference. Over the years, we’ve grown into a close-knit community of rescuers, fosterers, fundraisers, and supporters – all working together to give unwanted, abandoned, and mistreated cats the love and care they deserve.
We take in cats from all walks of life. Some arrive scared, sick, or malnourished. Others have been let down by people they trusted. But no matter their story, they all get the same thing at Moggies: patience, understanding, and a fresh start.

We’re located in Aberdare, South Wales. As we operate from a private location, visits are by appointment only.
As we’re a small, volunteer-run rescue, we aren’t open to the public. However, once your adoption enquiry is approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to come and meet the cat(s) you’re interested in.
Absolutely! We rely 100% on donations to run our rescue. You can donate via PayPal, bank transfer, or bring supplies like cat food, litter, and toys. Every little bit helps!
